MarkC
Whereas I have one! (19). I have other albums by a couple of the acts listed, but not those chosen by Q.
Grammath
You beat me, tagesmann. I only possess 24, mainly because I think Muse massively over-rated. I bought Q's first issue back in 1986 (Paul McCartney was on the cover as I recall) and have read it throughout its life. I think it is now my favourite music journal, although I found some of its competitors which have come and gone (Select, RIP) more readable.
Hazel
29. Automatic For The People - R.E.M. 27. Appetite For Destruction - Guns 'N' Roses 24. Only By The Night - Kings Of Leon 17. Hot Fuss - The Killers 13. Parklife - Blur 10. Black Holes And Revelations – Muse 9. Achtung Baby - U2 8. The Bends - Radiohead 6. The Joshua Tree - U2 2. Nevermind - Nirvana I personally own these, but hubby owns a good few more than me, notably Radiohead's later output.
My Friend Jack
20. American Idiot - Green Day 19. Funeral - Arcade Fire 16. In The Aeroplane Over The Sea - Neutral Milk Hotel 11. Is This It - The Strokes 9. Achtung Baby - U2 7. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses 4. Definitely Maybe - Oasis 3. (What's The Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis I was an avid Q reader (along with Record Collector) for many years, but stopped about 15 years ago. I rarely buy magazines at all these days, I'm afraid, I tend to use the internet to satisfy my need for information. Plus 50 or so music reference books. My favourite albums of the last 25 years would have to include Nanci Griffith's Storms, World Party's Goodbye Jumbo, Inspiral Carpets' Life, the Cowboy Junkies' Black Eyed Man, k d lang's Ingenue and Led Zeppelin's How The West Was Won. I used to read Q when it first came out. I prefer Mojo now but don't buy more than a couple of copies a year.
Royal Rother
Very surprised to see Neutral Milk Hotel at No 16 - it seems very out of place in what is otherwise a very "obvious" list. Together with Midlake's "The Trials of Van Occupanther" it would be in my Top 2.
iff
wow, i own 4, all radiohead's the other acts on the list are not of interest to me.
solace91z
I read and enjoyed Q for a few years but stopped around 97 when I got into metal. REM and Nirvana are my favourites from that list. (I also prefered Second Coming!)
