The Observer, this weekend, had an interesting little review/synopsis of this book - great title, which caught my eye. You'll need to let us know what you think of it...please! ;)

Will do! I read an interesting review somewhere else which alerted my attention to the book in the first place, I think it's a reprint.

Not exactly a bought or borrowed post but not really sure where else to put it.

I have been to see my mum today and have raved about the Jasper Fforde book I am currently reading (hmmm....perhaps I should have posted this in the Currently Reading thread :hmm:). Upshot of my rave is that she would now like to borrow it once I've finished it. I have lured her into the wonderful world of Fforde :D

The Black Tower, P.D. James, Penguin.

Cell, Stephen King, Hodder.

The Day of the Triffids, John Wyndham, Penguin.

A Certain Justice, P.D. James, Penguin.

The Savage Garden, Mark Mills, Harper.

Trace, Patricia Cornwell, Sphere.

I also bought Sharon Osbourne's second autobiography "Survivor" when I went to her book signing at Bluewater.

Just bought 3 books at waterstones on sat.

1. Jodi picoult - Keeping Faith

2. Mitch Albom - Just one more day

3. Monica Ali - Brick Lane

Has anyone read any of these?

Currently reading Boy in the striped pyjamas and I haven`t read anything like it. Finding it really compelling and shocking at the same time.
