The Library at the Edge of the World

Recommended Posts

Am currently reading this really charming and interesting book by actress and author Felicity Hayes McCoy.  It was recommended to me by a friend who had worked in the local library and it is about, naturally, a librarian living in Ireland after leaving her husband in London.  She returns to live with her mother, an outspoken and quite negative woman but fiercely fond of her daughter and granddaughter.  Lots of reference to books which I feel I should be reading, great characters where you have no trouble visualizing them. The description of scenery makes you wish you were there.  It is a really 'nice' story and I must get back to reading, would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a delightful book with some good twists and turns and the main character being shown an insight into her naive acceptance of some of those less than trustworthy people in her vicinity.
