  2. Just browsed Book Club Forum and see you lot are causing s storm 😄 Must admit browsing is a pain. For any new visitor they see a sea of all these blogs pffffff. They are a close community but should accept improvement suggestions if they want new people to join in.

  4. Bless you Hazel. An admin that really hasn't been involved much recently. Took control says how it is. Sadly comes to you to announce. Goodbye all was good.
  5. Just a few questions. What happens to all the posts on the forum when the site closes in May/June? Will all this information, laughs, sobs, debates and insight just be lost? Would be a shame if it is, so much to learn on here. If they are similar types of forums using the same kind of data bases, would it be possible to transfer as an archive to the Book Club Forum? Just seems such a shame to lose so much.
  6. Sad to see the forum end. I believe covid 19 made for reduced traffic. You would think with time on their hands people would read more but if like me the change in life style and routine caused me to read a lot less. Facebook is not an option for me for many reasons and like Hux will look for alternative forums. Sad to see the end of a forum that has given me so many excellent recommendations for books to read. Just would like to say before the door is closed, is there an alternative. How about advertising the site online (including Facebook), online magazines and forums? Alternatively if members agree to split costs, I'm willing to set up a PayPal monthly account to contribute. With the founding member David being mentioned recently in posts could be re named to David's Book Forum ? Oh well just blowing ideas in the wind. A little sad.

  13. The story is ... Pete Townshend the lead lead guitarist had just got married and then shortly after had to go on an American tour One night on the tour Pete was approached after a gig. She was young pretty, blue eyed and wanted to go back to his hotel with him. He was tempted but went back to the hotel alone and wrote this song..
