  1. Hi, I'm new to the site and would like to introduce myself like everyone here I guess I've been a book worm since childhood. I read a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction currantly reading 'The Land of Green Plums' by Herta Muller the writing style took a little getting used to but loving it now. I have also posted a couple of comments on childrens books as I have a two year old little boy (also two grown up daughters lol must be mad doing it all again) Favorite authors Coetzee, McEwan,Attwood, I enjoyed Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel which I see you have a thread on Karen
  2. I love reading childrens books one of the reasons being I can enjoy again the books I read in my own childhood. Also discovering new stories and characters with my own children. Like you I'm a sucker for an alfie story.
  3. Although my two year old does enjoy The Very Hungry Caterpillar his favorite Eric Carle book by far is The very Busy Spider which I have read to him from when he was a very young baby he just loves all the farm animals and copying their sounds its such fun.
  4. This is one of my two year old little boys favorite books at the moment he never tires of having the book read to him and the simple text means he is able to anticipate the next lines and say them before I do. The story and ilustrations are very appealing all and all its a perfect book to share with your toddler. Especially I think as most little boys can relate to Max the main character.
