  1. They sell the cheaper one on Amazon for £1.50 http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1853260827/qid=1134136055/sr=8-1/ref=pd_ka_1/202-6643633-3246266
  2. There is always Andrew Flintoff's biography which is currently on £8.99 on play.com. Or there is a book called Hard tackles and dirty baths by the late George Best, it's a nostalgic book about the 'golden era' of football.
  3. I was getting ready for school and my mum put the radio on, they were talking about it non stop. I remember some of the teachers at school were quite shocked. Imagine there's no heaven, It's easy if you try, No hell below us, Above us only sky, Imagine all the people living for today... Imagine there's no countries, It isnt hard to do, Nothing to kill or die for, No religion too, Imagine all the people living life in peace... Imagine no possesions, I wonder if you can, No need for greed or hunger, A brotherhood of man, Imagine all the people Sharing all the world... You may say I'm a dreamer, but Im not the only one, I hope some day you'll join us, And the world will live as one.
  4. No, and if I did it would be sent back attached to a dog turd
  5. I think those gifts are great and would not be at all upset if I recieved one. My neice and Nephew are getting soemthing from here. That'll teach them to not say thankyou for what I spent time choosing and posting last year
  6. Star of the sea by Joseph O'Connor was dreadful I hate the Harry Potter books too *puts on hard hat*
  7. I've just thought, is this a moomin?
  8. What is this? Whatever it is I love it
  9. Click here http://media.putfile.com/WizardsofWinter-SM You need speakers or headphones to hear the music for the full effect.
  10. I like the changes, much less confusing, cheers.
  11. I think it was because of the football
  12. It's not often I buy hardbacks but I saw this book at a bargain price of £9.96 in Asda on Saturday and decided to buy it. First of all I think it's a brilliant title (certainly makes a change form 'my life' of something similar) It's a great book so far, there are some very funny anecdotes in it as you might expect from Eric. It would probably make a nice Christmas present for someone who enjoys his style of comedy or who likes autobiographies in general.
  13. Why would I be talking about lost on a thread about bleak house?
  14. Brilliant episode last night. I have never read the book so I've no idea what happens next, I bet sales of this book have rocketed since this has been on TV.
  15. I see there is a book out now called a briefer history of time, apparently it's supposed to be easir to understand. I wonder if it's any good. A briefer history
  16. It's about 50-50 with me, I enjoy reading non fiction books. Maybe you could just make it a general non fiction forum without all the sub-sections. This might encourge more posts as perhaps people aren't sure where exactly their post should go, just an idea.
  17. I was thinking more about the threads in the bestsellers sections and other general sections like biographies (for example) A lot of those have only one or two replies and in some cases no replies at all.
  18. There are already lots of threads but a large percentage of them have very few and in some cases no replies. This kind of thing can put people off starting new ones, you know they might think why bother of nobody is going to reply.
  19. Ah god bless him he was a great man who done so much for music. I also loved listening to home truths, he seemed like such a nice down to earth man. Almost 1 year since he died, John you are still missed so much.
  20. John's biography Margrave of the marshes is due out on October 17th. It has been finished by his widow Sheila Ravenscroft as sadly John was still in the process of writing the book when he died last year. If you wish you can pre order the book from places like amazon and play.com I think this will be a great book and I'm looking forward to reading it.
  21. I prefer Brett Lee myself Congratulations to England, I'm truly delighted we have regained the ashes after so long. It's not just the cricket I have enjoyed but also the superb sportsmanship and spirit shown by both teams. One example was when Warne shook KP's hand just after he had been bowled out, I thought that was a really nice moment.
