So, I've read 5 stories (forgot one, but now got the book, and counted) and Adrian has given up on The Wrong Grave. Any one else reading?
Overall, I'm enjoying Kelly Link's writing - the narrator asides to the reader work really well for me. I also like the Shaun Tan pictures, even if they aren't always directly relevant! Spoiler:
I also wish that I hadn't read the copyright page, as I've realised you can tell which are the earlier stories if you think about it as you read. I wouldn't recommend that you do, think about it that is! Last edited by Flingo : 13th November 2009 at 08:37 PM. |

It's really not my thing at all, so if JD doesn't take up my offer to send my copy to him, then I'll offer it up to the rest of the members.

I looked at the blurb an thought this wasn't my thing - hence I didn't ask for a copy. But I saw a pile of them in Blackwells today and they looked intriguing - as Hazel pointed out, lots of black and quite nicely presented. What was most intriguing were all the positive quotes, including some from people I would have assumed might not be interested in this sort of thing.
But then again, I see the book has had a mixed reception here. Should I investigate further or should I pass on it? |
