This is probably one of the most popular of Henri Nouwen's many books of spirituality and it has been on my wish list for some time, so I pleased to acquire it recently from our church's secondhand "book corner".
Henri Nouwen was a Dutch Catholic priest who shered his life with people with mental disabilities as pastor of the l'Arche Daybreak Community in Toronto. The book's subtitle is is Reflections for every Day of the Year. I have not had a lot of time for reading recently. My husband although recovering well from a heart attack, is still in hospital. Henri Nouwen's daily passages are quite profound and stay with me throughout the day. The last few days the readings have been exploring the difference between Loneliness and Solitude. Now today, we have moved to Forgivenss, the cement of Community Life and he has a veryt interesting "take" on that too, one I had not thought of before.
