Oooooooohhhhhh.........two words, Johan Cruyff. One of the most phenomenal natural talents ever to grace the footballing stage. Another thing which counts towards his favour, is that he gave his name to the legendary football move 'The Cruyff turn,' commonly practised to the level of exhaustion by young trainee footballers and the cause of many a sprained ankle for those footballers too inexperienced (verging on the threshold of foolishness) to perfect it.

I hope you will obey the 'rule of three' principle, Deino. I am agog to know who you're third is going to be.
Pele was obviously the best footballer ever.

Teddy Sheringham. Won 1999 Champions League for Man Utd almost single-handedly versus a full-strength Bayern Munich outfit and is still very much a potent force into his late-30's for West Ham. (Oh, and was 2001 PFA Player of the Year.......(if that counts for anything).

Sorry. :o Mustn’t overlook Solskjaers' role in the grand scheme of things. It must have been me overexaggerating for the purpose of emphasizing a valid but ultimately ill-thought-through point. My apologies also to those esteemed regular visitors of this site, Messrs Schmeichel, Giggs, Staam, Keane, Scholes and virtually the entire remainder of the Manchester Utd. squad present at the final of the '99 Champions League, (you know who you are) for having their contributions so similarly and callously overlooked.
