My understanding is that you use the site alongside reading the books. So you get to a particular chapter, logon, and get extra info on the characters and story. There is also a social networking aspect to it too. I read a good article in the Telegraph on it, but I can't find it now...

Baffles me that JK Rowling didn't actually say what the site actually was on her video and yet these newspapers seem to know quite a lot about what's going on, but looking forward to it all the same
