Am afraid (and yet at the same time very happy) to say that I am currently addicted to this show. Anyone else loving it? A comedy set in New York about two rather nieve New Zealanders trying to make it into the music industry. If you like the Mighty Boosh, you might get into this a little better. It's a bit like an extended comedy musical, with the two New Zealanders, Jermaine and Bret, who make up 'Flight Of The Conchords' (and sometimes their equally happless Kiwi manager Murray) bursting into song at apparently random intervals. It's a really sweet show, far less dark than the Mighty Boosh, but with a slightly similar character dynamic between the two leads. It's their innocence that makes them so loveable, and I'm afraid it's also got me stuck doing bad impersonations for days after I've seen it.

I got into it mostly having heard their album (my sister bought it not having a clue who they were), which is made up of songs taken from the show, and slightly remastered, and then buying the DVDs on impulse, not having seen more than ten minutes from the entire series before. Am very pleased I bought it though, makes me happy whenever I watch it, a new essential for getting me out of grumpy moods!

Hubby's favourite show at the moment and he plays the CD constantly in the car. Some of the songs are hilarious, and are the star of the shows themselves.

Yup, been loving it too. Not usually a fan of slow uncomfortable humour, but the songs and in particular the way they are performed in the show really won me over. Little skits like Albi the racist dragon completely floor me. It's a bit of a marmite show I think, when I go into spasms of uncontrollable laughter my girlfriend gives me confused looks.
