I received 'Blue heaven' by Joe Keenan for christmas and have to say it is wonderful. It is hilariously funny and JK is a very good writer. I can't wait to read the next in line: Putting on the Ritz

Also, JK wrote on the tv show frasier (My favourite, in fact) and whilst on a Frasier forum, he posted and I emailed him, telling him i wanted to be a writer too and he replied....what a down to earth man!

well hello there Pirate kate, thank you for replying to my thread.

The book is very very very very funny and is about the escapades of a gay playwright named Philip, his ex lover gilbert and his 'fiancee' Moira. Gilbert and moira pretend to be engaged to get money and the people they are conning are the mafia...very funny

The sequel is called 'Putting on the Ritz' and involves Philip and Gilbert again. i'm buying it this weekend
