I had an argument with my friend who kept on insiting that Tommyknockers was the King's best book ever.
I have read that book but in the middle of it I sort of felt fed up!I thought that the story was exaggerated to an annoying extent.I like King but this one did not appeal me as much as his Firestarter and Different Seasons had done.
What do you guys say?

I haven't read Tommyknockers but my favourites of SK's work are Dark Tower 2,3,4,5,7, It, and The Stand.
I am currently reading Lisey's Story which is quite different in that it is quite a tender love story with only hints at a bit of "unpleasantness" in the background. Very good so far even if not quite what one would expect from the author.

Tommyknockers was okay, but my fave King is definitely It. Just a brilliant page turner that scared the bejesus out of me when I was younger.

I thoroughly enjoyed Tommyknockers, but not as much as It, which I still regard as his finest stand-alone work. The Dark Tower books remain by far my favourite of his projects. The way that each book remains completely separate, yet each joins seamlessly into the next... fabulous stuff.

Tommyknockers is one of my least favourite King books. I think his best are The Stand, It, and The Green Mile.
