I have just started this book - one of the original self improvement books, over 70 years old, and still going strong.

I'll post along the way to let you know how I go, and how fast my stash of cash is growing.

It is very very exciting to know that soon I am going to be awash with the dirty $$ - simply by sitting on my arse all day thinking!!!!

I've got his Keys to Success - just as well I don't have high expectations!
It's a good read for procrastinators, we feel we're doing something.

Well, I must say at the moment this book is very hectoring and old fashioned in its tone. All we know so far is that one must know how much one wishes to make, know what one will give in return, and when one wants it by.

This plan, read aloud, will apparently do the trick. If you believe in it enough.

He goes on about Edison a lot. But, apparently Edison didn't even invent the lightbulb, which is the whole point a lot of these self-help books make, that he tried ten thousand times or something and Never Gave Up.

But that just isn't true. Stephen Fry said so on QI the other day (and he wouldn't tell a fib) so what have we been believing all these years!!!

The self-help industry will just have to find another example of someone who never gave up. And I will have to skip forward to the chapter on 'The Mystery of Sex Transmutation' for some fun.
