Anyone ever read these? I have to buy the last one yet but the other two have been great, they've been compared to The Lord Of the Rings so I expected them to be good. I love books that can stir me enough to make me cry, the first book did. I think there are at times a little too much description but otherwise, very very good. Anyone else got any thoughts?

Far too much overblown (not particuarly good) description. I have read all three. Not a patch on Tolkien or Robin Hobb.
In fact I found them a bit of an effort.

Hi people :)
I enjoyed the Bitterbynde trilogy although was dissapointed with the ending. I felt that after reading the whole trilogy and following the main character as she finds out who she is, for her to loose her memory again at the end of the story, it threw you back to the beginning. Also I would have preferred
a difinite ending rather than to be left guessing. Although saying this I have bought her new trilogy the Crowthistle Chronicles, though I have yet to read them.

Hi Jackie - welcome to BGO, it's great to have you here! Please tell us a little more about yourself in the Introductions thread in the Central Library. You clearly love Fantasy - maybe in the intro thread you could tell us what other books would you recommend?

After struggling past the first 100 pages or so of the first book in this series it suddenly opens up and becomes fantastic.
I was so close to giving up on it and at the last minute decided to push on. I'm so glad I did, this has become one of my favourite series. I am waiting for the last book to arrive now. Shame I read the spoiler in the post above :(

It's clearly been keeping you busy for some time but must be good to have inspired your first post for almost 5 months. Welcome back to BGO, JDE!
